Dear *****,

I am pleased to personally invite you to attend the BlackBerry Summit, taking place in New York on October 17, 2023.

This new and expanded event will provide a panoramic view into BlackBerry’s strategy, roadmap, and latest innovations. As well, together with some of the leading voices in Enterprise IT and the IoT, the event will enable important conversations about the security and connectivity technologies required to unlock the many, untapped benefits of a trusted, hyperconnected world.

As BlackBerry’s Chief Elite Customer Success Officer – and in my recently expanded role as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer – I’ve heard from many of you that you want to engage more with BlackBerry. You want to experience, and in some cases reconnect with, the BlackBerry you know and love – and above all, that you trust. This sentiment has strengthened as you have advanced in your digital transformation journeys and increasingly require security and connectivity that’s unmatched.

I hope you’ll join us at the BlackBerry Summit, for a range of personalized experiences, with keynotes, tracks, demos, private roundtables, and networking – all designed to help you discover who BlackBerry is today, and how we are changing the way the world lives and works as a software company.

Registration is open now, and space is limited, so please secure your spot. I look forward to seeing you!

Neelam Sandhu

I think that's a funny/awkward role/job title ("chief elite customer success officer").
I've seen weirder. The Army actually has Diversity & Inclusion officers 🤪. The Army. A-R-M-Y. Forget about the fit, the intelligent, the confident. They want the fat, the dumb and God knows what else LOL.

What is a "Diversity and Inclusion Officer"? An officer in the Army's recruitment centre that tries to recruit specific quotas for Diversity and Inclusion needs? If so, the title could make sense for that person's job. Or, is it an officer in the Army somewhere that deals with policy and matters related to Diversity and Inclusion (in terms of, for example, if the Army is doing stuff that is non diverse and non inclusive and may therefore need to be considered for review or adjustment)? If so, that could also make sense for that person's job. More content is needed. Otherwise, the situation is probably being represented out of context.

For a strong military, conformity and discipline is very important. It shouldn't be concerned with DEI as that's counterproductive to mission.

What's DEI, and what does it have to do with not being able to instill discipline for following mission orders/direction?

So a DEI officer picks people for jobs (presumably as part of initial recruitment into the Army) based on skin colour or sexual orientation? If so, I guess then that sort of role for the person (the DEI officer) somewhat aligns with such a title they have, if that's what they do and if that's what they are called. Still don't understand what that has to do with instilling discipline for following mission orders/direction, but I guess Chucky will have to answer that.
